Happy New Year!
Now that the busy holiday season is behind us, I hope you have an opportunity to rest and relax.

I am having a great time volunteering for the RPCMC as the fundraising chairperson. I really enjoy building new friendships, attending fun events for moms and little ones and serving our community. On behalf of the Board, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all members for your hard work, spirit and participation in making 2009 a fun-flled year for the RPCMC. Your ideas, commitment, and energy are essential to keep the club going strong.

I am excited about 2010! As a member of the Board, we are scheduling activities and events, re-establishing playgroups, and creating special interest groups for members. We have started planning for our largest fundraising event, the Silent Auction and Talent Show, to be held in March and will count on your input and help.

The Board is committed to increasing membership as we continue to build a diverse group of mothers and children. As members, we should invite new members to join our playgroups. One of the things I like most about the RPCMC is the playgroup. I love to see my daughter interact with babies, toddlers and school-age kids. It’s so important that little ones have a social outlet and enhance their communication and relationship building skills.

The other thing I really enjoy about being a member is the opportunity to be with other moms, learning from them and sharing new experiences as we grow to be the best mothers we can be to our children.

Again, thank you for a great 2009. I look forward to meeting each one of you this year and thank you for supporting our club.
