Request for Stroller Donations

As many of you know the RPCMC has helped The Living Room in the past. The Living Room is a daytime, drop-in program that serves homeless and at-risk women and their children. It flls a special niche in Sonoma County. While they work in conjunction with other community agencies, the major beneft they provide is giving clients a place to be during the day, when shelters are closed. I can not imagine the burden of simply trying to fnd a safe, stable environment where my boys and I could spend our day. The Living Room also provides a critical frst stop for women who are the verge of becoming homeless. They are often the frst place at-risk or newly homeless families turn for relief and referrals to other Sonoma County aid agencies.

Once again, this wonderful resource has asked for our assistance. They are in desperate need of strollers. As most thrift stores won't accept strollers for liability reasons, I'm sure a number of you have unused, outgrown strollers gathering dust in your garages. I have three! They will accept strollers of any kind. They are not, by any means, asking us go out and purchase new strollers, although if you are so inclined you are more than welcome. If any of you has a stroller that you are no longer using and would be willing to donate, please contact the outreach coordinator Beth Craven 585-8180
